2006 Statistics
The sheriff's office keeps statistics relating to agency responses and workload data in addition  to UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting) information that is required by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Demands on local resources far exceeds the UCR required reporting data. For instance, when a deputy escorts a funeral procession, assists neighbors in settling a dispute, or responds to a burglar alarm call it takes a certain amount of time. These type  activities are not included in the UCR report. When an investigator receives a burglary report taken by a patrol officer, the time spent investigating the crime is not reported under the UCR. While the burglary is counted in the monthly UCR report, the resources spent to solve the burglary are not.
